What’s the difference between a Porch, Balcony, Pergola,Veranda, Patio, Alfresco, Terrace and Deck?

Clarifying Solutions

When speaking to customers about their outdoor living and entertainment needs related to pergolas, verandas, decks, paitos, alfrescos, terraces, porches and balconies, I couldn’t help but notice how often customers would use these similar terms interchangeably only to find upon the site inspection that they actually meant something different, and both parties actually had a different pictures in thier mind, resulting in different understanding of the needs and solutions. Of course this is a minor issue and we shouldnt expect customers to understand the nuiances between each of these different structures, and the answer can be simply is solved by the service provider (me) asking a few more qualifying questions, but life’s hectic and you can often overlook these questions when juggling the delivery of a project whith the scoping, planing and quoting of another.
